Talks will take place in the morning, followed by a short lunch. A coach will then be provided to take participants to the Jackfield Tile Museum at Ironbridge to discover tile history and see unique installations of tiles in situ, followed by tea, coffee and biscuits and a coach trip back to Ludlow.
Preceding the Symposium on Friday, 20th April, 2pm, there will be an opportunity to visit the Ludlow Museum Resource Centre to view their collection of 500 medieval floor tiles from across Shropshire. The tour will be led by Emma-Kate Lanyon, Team Leader (Collections and Curatorial Services), and will include an opportunity to visit the museum's new Archaeology Store.
